Monkeys, Table Manners and Evolution
Topic: Religion

As you might imagine, I hang around with some interesting people. One of them, Bridget B., made a fascinating discovery in the course of channel surfing.

Pay attention now: Evolution is not a viable theory because monkeys have bad table manners. OK, so that isn't the theory advanced, but it makes good copy and you get the gist. The theory is more convoluted and makes little sense.

Kirk Cameron needed a job, so he's doing a show called "The Way of the Master." Get past the Jedi sound and it does seem a bit over the top, but who's criticizing? Go to the Way of the Master website.

I repeatedly say that I believe in God, but with stuff like this, well, I feel like I'm in bad company sometimes. Where are the guys pitching intelligent design? They're on to something. The monkeys and table manners, on the other hand, remind me of something.

Torquemada, Torquemada, wherefore art thou, Torquemada? Galileo this: science.

If none of this makes much sense, blame it on the monkey's table manners. Hell, I will.

Still laughing...
